5th Annual Beltrami County Fair Open Agility Competition Sponsored by Northwoods 4-H Dog Club

 August 1, 2010 Beltrami Fairgrounds Registration: 9:00 AM Show Starts: 10:00 AM

Entry Fee: $10/Dog (TWO DOG LIMIT PER PERSON) Open to all those who have agility training!
Classes: Beginner Elementary Intermediate Senior Advanced

All classes will be run according to MN 4-H Agility Rules and Guidelines. Each dog run may compete in only one class.

For the safety of dogs and participants, proof of CURRENT Rabies and DHPP vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian MUST be presented, NO EXCEPTIONS. Any dog(s) brought as spectators also need to have the proper vaccination records present.

 Northwoods requests that if youth are brought by a parent/guardian that the parent/guardian remains at the show, as the end of the show may vary.

For anyone with Retrievers There is a 133 dog entry field trial being held in Bemidji on July 17 &18. For anyone that may be interested there are some of the premier Retriever Pro trainers in the United States with their dogs entered only the top 2 levels will be competed in this trial. There is no cost to watch so if you would like to come & watch some great competitors & their dogs contact me for directions or go to the MHRC web site ( search MHRC) and look at the field trial location.

Paws All About It at the Beltrami County Fair on Saturday, July 31st in the Dog Arena. Games and good time. This is an opportunity for the public to meet the club members and talk about the club and dogs. Everyone is welcome to participate.

DOG SHOW

Sunday August 22, at the Mahnomen county fairgrounds.

 Registration at 1pm, with the 4-H agility at 1:30pm, and the open show to follow. We will most likely do agility class first, as the equipment will be set up already.

 classes offered -  beginner and elementary agility;  showmanship- 3-8th grade, 9th grade &up, and adults (like they do in Bemidji);  obedience classes -  Beginner A & B, graduate Beginner, Novice, Graduate Novice, Brace, Veterans, and 4 man dog team upon request.

   $5 per dog, for as many classes as wish to enter. of course if have more than one dog, it would be $5 per dog. 

 also available is the Canine Good Citizen test, but is limited to how many people can test, and would be tested only after the whole dog show is over.  there will be a cost to this as well, but havn't decided yet what to charge. This would be an additional charge.

              TRAVEL ABOUT 4-6 MILES TO THE 4 WAY STOP & CONTINUE STRAIGHT
              AHEAD APPROX .2 MILE, & BRENDA'S HOUSE IS THE FIRST HOUSE ON
              THE RIGHT FIRE # 4619 WHITE HOUSE WITH WHITE BARN,
 
COST: WORKING TEAM :(HANDLER WITH DOG) $50 SAT $50 SUN OR  $75 BOTH DAYS.   
           
           AUDITING: $20 SAT  $20 SUND  OR $35 BOTH DAYS
 
REFUNDS: WILL BE ALLOWED FOR DOGS IN SEASON OR UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE DUE TO INJURY WITH A VETERINARIAN CERTIFICATION UP TO 24 HOURS PRIOR TO THE WORKSHOP.
 
FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SITE,  I AM ASKING IRDTC MEMBERS TO BRING POTLUCK IF YOU CAN. 
 
TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS WORKSHOP, PLAN ON WORKING THE SAME DOG ALL WEEKEND, AS SUNDAY'S SESSION WILL BE BUILDING ON WHAT WE LEARN ON SATURDAY,
 
THIS IS A BEGINNER LEVEL WORKSHOP THAT HAS BEEN DESIGNED TO START DOGS & HANDLERS IN THE AKC SPORT OF TRACKING, THIS IS A HANDS ON FIELD WORKSHOP. LOIS WILL WORK WITH ALL LEVELS OF TRACKERS,
 
REGISTERING:  I NEED THE NECK & CHEST MEASUREMENTS OF YOUR DOG, BREED, AGE, TRACKING EXPERIENCE, 
LOIS WILL BRING HARNESSES & LEADLINES SHE HAS FOR SALE SO WE NEED TO KNOW WHAT SIZE YOUR DOG NEEDS,  ANY COLOR PREFERENCE FOR HARNESS.
